Clarity's Public Affairs team is seeking experienced Account Managers/ Senior Account Managers who are passionate about using their political expertise to drive real change for our clients

If you've sharpened your skills in agency, in-house, government, or parliamentary roles and are ready to put your strategic mind to work shaping policy and delivering high-impact campaigns, we want to hear from you. Experience in technology or health is a bonus, but we're open to anyone with the right public affairs or political background.

This is the perfect role for a go-getter who thrives on autonomy, excels at building relationships, and has a knack for political networking and campaigning. You'll be a trusted advisor to clients, keeping an eye on policy shifts, guiding junior team members, and building connections with key decision-makers. And yes, being politically active and tapping into your network is all part of the game!

While your focus will be public affairs, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your horizons across PR, crisis communications, and corporate comms. Help us shape a truly integrated PA and comms team within our fast-paced, global agency.

Experience and Skills

Personal Specification:

  • A willingness to get stuck in at every level
  • Being fun, approachable and engaged member of the public affairs and wider Clarity teams
  • Active participation/interest in party politics, parliamentary connections welcomed
  • An understanding of the work of trade associations is advantageous

Account Management

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of a number of client accounts, taking responsibility alongside senior account leads for delivering and driving planning, delivery, & results
  • Ensuring accounts a running to time and budget by driving successful delivery of client KPIs
  • Being able to ‘think like a client’ and understand their operating environment
  • Drive the successful delivery of engagement programs across Stakeholders, Westminster & Whitehall

Communications, Writing and Intelligence

  • A competent and proficient writer with an ability to capture the attention of the reader; writing good quality materials, research papers, calls for evidence, newsletters, parliamentary briefings, engagement letters etc.
  • An ability to undertake accurate and robust research and a solid understanding of the impact on clients
  • Working with account directors and senior client leads to ensure all written communications meet company standards by reviewing work done by junior team members

Networking, Relationship Building & Political Engagement:

  • Experience in providing written evidence to Parliament and in public consultations is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience of leading engagement programmes with policymakers
  • A track-record of project management and/or account management, including formulating strategy and tracking budgets
  • Experience of helping develop and line manage team members

Business Development

  • Work closely with the senior team to maintain and grow the revenue streams for existing client accounts
  • Identify,  develop and explore new business opportunities, including drafting strategies and playing a role in tenders and pitches where appropriate.
  • Taking a proactive approach to new businesses through networking
