The Health Tech Alliance is a coalition of health tech companies and key NHS bodies including NHS England, Integrated Care Boards, Office for Life Sciences, NICE, NIHR and the Health Innovation Networks (HINs) to drive up the adoption of health technologies, digital applications, devices and diagnostics that are proven to improve patient outcomes.
Chaired by Dame Barbara Hakin, the former Deputy Chief Executive of NHS England and founded by Nick Lansman, President at Clarity.
In the rapidly evolving health tech sector, companies face hurdles in achieving market access for their products. Navigating the complex procurement processes and achieving widespread adoption across the health service remain critical challenges.
Conversations with industry leaders and NHS officials highlighted the pressing need for a unified voice to advocate for policy changes and streamline procurement practices.
Clarity, the secretariat for the Health Tech Alliance (HTA), created a coalition to address these challenges. The HTA brings together over 30 Health Tech companies, and serves as a platform to advocate for policy changes around market access and reimbursement to enhance patient outcomes and help the NHS achieve long-term cost savings.
Additionally, Clarity established a Procurement Sub-Group within the HTA, bringing together industry leaders, NHS health bodies, and procurement professionals. Through this subgroup, workshops are conducted to discuss and develop feasible solutions for streamlining procurement routes for innovation.
