As a result of securing some fantastic new business, we are now on the hunt for a fantastic Senior Account Director to join our US team, based in New York or California (Los Angeles or San Diego).

This individual will lead complex, integrated work with an emphasis on earned media, as well as social, influencer, and paid digital media. This is an incredible opportunity to grow into a key integrated leadership role within our global agency.

About you:

You will have mastered the art of strategic planning, anticipating client needs, and building long-lasting relationships that deliver creative, impactful results. You will have your finger on the pulse of cultural trends and a deep knowledge of the global media and digital landscape.

You’re comfortable leading integrated communication strategies for both consumer and business audiences, and know what it takes to build campaigns that connect. You also understand how all the elements of a successful integrated campaign come together for impact.  

As an agency leader, you understand both the high-level strategic planning and deeply technical nuances of executing digital marketing and social media programs. And you have a keen managerial acumen to be a role model and mentor for junior staff too.

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as the day-to-day account lead to some of our largest and most exciting clients
  • Build high-level, measurable, integrated strategy, ensuring alignment with the analytics team to set and deliver against communication and commercial goals
  • Be able to think and plan ahead, anticipating client needs while proactively recommending strategic, creative solutions
  • Perform as a fearless, inclusive and positive leader for account teams, inspiring junior colleagues, mentoring and leading by example
  • Exhibit a global, integrated mindset: build connections and work with colleagues throughout the agency to ensure seamless client service, effective team collaboration, and successful delivery of internal campaigns and initiatives
  • Have a proven track record of leading and executing integrated communications campaigns 
  • Support new business development and proactively seek opportunities to expand the agency’s scope with clients, through the addition of new services and/or geographies, or pursue opportunities with coworkers from across the business
  • Keep abreast of developments and innovations in the paid digital and social media industries, making time to learn about new thinking or techniques that may be applied to our client work
  • Work with a wide range of B2C and B2B brands, from household names to startups
  • Have the ability to work successfully in a hybrid model – we love meeting up in person and working together twice a week, and also believe in remote work flexibility.

  • You inspire trust and confidence in others, through your ability to listen and persuade by providing thoughtful, considered counsel.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide strategic direction and executive leadership to our agency's offices in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles.
  • Oversee and optimize the agency's overall performance, including revenue growth, profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to expand our client base and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of professionals across the three offices, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, representing the agency at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with global senior leadership, offering strategic insights and recommendations to shape the agency's overall vision and direction.
  • Ensure the agency maintains a strong brand presence and reputation in the North American market.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within the integrated communications industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the North American market, with an established network of contacts and industry relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive growth, adapt to changing market dynamics, and navigate complex business environments.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management experience.
  • A deep understanding of integrated communications strategies, including PR, marketing, branding, digital communications, and social media.
