I wrote to our team last week to share our horror at the atrocities being committed in Ukraine, our commitment to ensuring that our business, through our clients, does not support Putin or his allies in any way, and asked for suggestions as to how we as an agency could take action.
We had many wonderful, thoughtful suggestions, but have decided to take our lead from those team members whose families and friends are most affected by this illegal war, and so have chosen two charities close to their hearts and to the action to support through our donations. Both organisations are focused on taking care of Ukrainian refugees arriving in both Poland and Estonia:

So how will we help? Firstly, Clarity’s specialist Paid Search team will be working on the WHO Foundation’s Ukraine fundraising appeal. We’ll be working alongside our sister agency freuds to try to raise more than $55m in much-needed donations that will provide vital health care. We will be donating all of our fees for doing so to the charities we have chosen, so that they can have a real impact on the ground.
Secondly, we will be matching any donations made to these two charities by our team, and would like to encourage all our partners, suppliers and clients to consider donating too if they haven’t already.
Our thoughts go out to everyone affected, including the many good and kind people in Russia who do not stand for or condone the actions of their leaders, and we stand united with Ukraine in wishing for urgent action from our politicians, and urgent peace for the region.
