This afternoon, the Chancellor delivered the Budget - the first time it has been delivered on a Monday since 1962. Whilst the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Brexit negotiations and the Government's lack of a majority meant that this was never expected to be a radical Budget, Hammond did repeatedly claim that austerity was 'finally coming to an end'. Indeed, due to better than expected public borrowing figures, the Chancellor was able to make a range of new spending commitments across many areas of Government.
