Do You Trust AI? The HumanX Revelation

"How many of you would trust AI to write an email to a customer or client?" AI21’s Ori Goshen’s question echoed around the HumanX main stage on Monday in Las Vegas. A sea of hands rose. Next, he posed an important follow-up question: "...now, how about without checking?"

Hands plummeted.

It was a stark moment of realization. While everyone is eager to embrace AI, true trust in enterprise settings tells a different story. In fact, according to the Amazon Web Services CDO Agenda 2024, only 6% of organizations have generative AI applications in full deployment.

The challenge in fully adopting AI is not only making it trustworthy but also scalable and reliable.

And so, enter stage right, AI21’s Maestro, unveiled at HumanX – the new conference dedicated to exploring the intersection of AI and human experience.

Maestro, the world’s first AI Planning and Orchestration System for enterprises, moves beyond the unpredictability of Large Language Models. Its model-agnostic approach allows businesses to select and orchestrate the best AI models for different tasks, ensuring control, consistency, and performance at scale.

The conversations at HumanX underscored a broader challenge: while AI innovation is accelerating, enterprise trust isn’t keeping pace. That’s why solutions like Maestro are so critical – not just advancing AI capabilities, but ensuring businesses can truly rely on them.

I was very fortunate to be part of the launch team on site at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, working alongside AI21’s team from Tel Aviv. Following Ori’s compelling keynote, we orchestrated a dynamic press conference and hosted numerous media briefings over the three-day event.

HumanX itself was a masterclass in event execution, especially impressive given this was its inaugural year. The energy was palpable, with top-tier content and unexpected extras – from a dog-petting zone, to surprise dance performances between lunch courses.

Yet, beneath all the Vegas atmosphere, the theme of trust stood out. While “human-centric AI” is undoubtedly one of the industry’s – many – buzzwords, the real takeaway was clear: AI should serve and empower people.

As we look forward to HumanX in San Francisco next year, I'm confident that the conversation around trustworthy AI will continue to evolve.

Building on the energy from Vegas, we're definitely moving closer to a future where, by the time we gather in the Bay Area next April, the question – "Do you trust AI?" – gets a resounding "yes" – from a whole conference of raised hands.
